Seine oft provokanten Farbfotografien füllten die Seiten internationaler Modemagazine der 1970er Jahre und illustrierten mit aufreizenden Motiven die Werbekampagnen von Kunden wie Charles Jourdan, Christian Dior oder Bloomingdales. Die theatralisch inszenierten und teils surreal anmutenden Fotografien verblüffen dabei durch eine Mischung aus Erotik, strengem Arrangement und einem oft schwarzem Humor. Mit einer Auswahl von 55 seiner besten, teils unveröffentlichten Fotografien bietet das Buch eine ideale Einführung in das Werk des Fotografen.Alison Gingeras ist eine international arbeitende Kuratorin undAutorin in Paris. Sie war Kuratorin für Ausstellungen von Werken und Sammlungen der Gegenwartskunst am Centre Pompidou in Paris (1999 bis 2004) und gehörte zwischen 1995 bis 1999 zumKuratorenteam am Solomon R.
